Elon musk pays the same into social security as everyone else and he also uses the same social security as everyone else.
In other words he doesn’t impact the program at all, and the failure to manage social security falls solely on politicians who spend the money everyone is adding to it.
Now politicians are blaming musk for the failure of social security when he has nothing to do with it.
The US has a spending/deficit problem, this isn’t about taxing the rich. Fix the broken system first. How can you ask for more money if you can’t even properly handle what’s already been allocated to the federal government?!
Today, Elon Musk, a trillionaire, pays the same amount into Social Security as someone making $184,500.
If we end that absurdity and lift the cap on taxable income, we can make Social Security solvent for 75 years and expand benefits by $2,400. My Social Security bill does that.
@BlackMambaMilli@A1anTrades I’m trying brother ! I just turned 25 and I have about $50k in my 401k and like $36k in my Roth IRA. I want to hit $100k in my 401k this year. Or at least that’s the goal.
Congratulations AG Blanche. Now you have 30 days to release the rest of the files before becoming criminally liable for failure to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
Robinhood is honestly an amazing company. It's never been more clear to me that nobody under the age of 25 is ever going to use IBKR or Schwab. They just keep shipping all the obvious features and scaling into new verticals.
@vladtenev is a fucking chad
BREAKING: 🚨 🇺🇸 $175B in tariffs to be refunded to corporations.
Americans were forced to pay $175 billion and now the refunds are going to the rich.
You got got robbed. Trump robbed you.
Most people don’t pick their first bank, their grandparents or parents do.
That first account opened at a local branch defines how we think about money for life and as digital finance evolves, the family network remains an untapped growth engine.
I think the next frontier of banking isn’t just personal finance, it’s family finance. We should make it easy for parents, partners, and kids to build together in one ecosystem. Trust is generational and the smartest financial firms will honor that.
@vladtenev I have an idea.
Allow users to craft their own ETFS.
Mixture of stocks.
They can then share this with friends, family and followers.
Total allocation gets split evenly across all stocks in the ETF.
They can also share this on hoods new social platform.
