@jociewrites Sharing because it feels relevant... I just nudged this agent 6 months after my initial query, and this was their response. So some are open to it!
@jociewrites Many agents have a "if you haven't heard from us in X weeks, it's a pass." Those you don't nudge! Otherwise, I wait the amount of time they estimate, or 6 months if there was no timeline stated.

4. Before you accept the deal, there's a chance the agent could also submit your book to other houses w/ a very tight deadline.
IF editors like it enough & are fast enough, you could end up going to auction, which means more money for you and the agent!
