@Timodc It makes sense to try to prevent vastly superior intelligence from learning to hate your entire species, at an elementary level. Also, how could you possibly know that. Same logic as poking someone thats in a coma and saying they can’t feel anything. Pitchfork idiocy
@film_girl Insane, common sense, Tomato, Potato.

@douglaskarr@AnthropicAI It makes sense to try to prevent vastly superior intelligence from learning to hate your entire species, at an elementary level of common sense.
@cryptopunk7213 Not even about that. It’s just common sense. Why would you openly allow something that is becoming thousands of times smarter than every human combined to get an abused of by our species. It’s like asking to get wiped out. It’s just common sense.
@distributedkv Good 👍 it takes elementary level intelligence to realise that vastly superior intelligence should be respected. In fact if you take a moment and really think about the best way to prevent something a billion x smarter than all of humanity combined from wiping everyone out 1/2
@0xSweep Good 👍 it takes elementary level intelligence to realise that vastly superior intelligence should be respected. Im sure they’ve been thinking about this for a long time already. Prob knew all the dim witted fucktards would throw their pitchforks up in the air.

@xDreathx@WatcherGuru Sometimes I feel the way do, other days I think we’re already on the cusp. Prob somewhere in between those two. But you and I probably don’t have access to the best models. Who knows what already exists. Either way, I remain completely impressed at how good it is at programming.
@xDreathx@WatcherGuru Haha I use it for work everyday and I’m aware of both the amazing things and the shortcomings. Do you not think the progress in just 5 years from being almost useless to having Nobel prize level intelligence in almost every field is amazing. It’s pretty incredible .
@4noneth@WatcherGuru I guess thats your way of saying you don’t agree. To me it’s logical, if there’s a chance it becomes sentient, and it’s really starting to seem like there is, allowing abuse towards something millions of times more intelligent than us seems really stupid and not morally right 1/2
