I am thrilled to announce that my latest book, "Extending Android Builds: Pragmatic Gradle and AGP Skills with Kotlin," is now available on Amazon🚀, including all regional sites. 🥳This book delves into the development of Gradle plugins that integrate with the Android Gradle Plugin (AGP) and other essential build tools, such as AAPT2, Kotlin Symbol Processing (KSP), and Bytecode manipulators. By clicking the "Read Sample" button at the bottom left on the detail page, you will find a detailed table of contents and previews. You have the flexibility to choose between the Kindle version, Paperback (B&W), or Hardcover (full-color edition). https://t.co/LlTsBBDVHB
El (@xx2bab) is my new friend and a GDE, and when we met for the second time, he kindly gifted me his book “Extending Android Builds.” 📘✨
It’s a huge work with over 500 pages, and the moment I held it, I could tell it’s going to be a serious deep dive. It looks like a great book for learning Android build systems in depth.
Thank you so much, El! I truly appreciate it 🙌

Super excited to see that "CMP is stable and Production-Ready". I tried three KMP + CMP apps currently available on the App Store (may use CMP 1.7 or prior), and I noticed that they still feel a bit laggy and not very responsive when quickly scrolling through lists.
I’m thrilled that AGP team has added explanations of various build concepts for all Android devs—especially clearing up some newbie confusions about plugin classification. For more info, check out the free chapter on plugin classification in my book Extending Android Builds 1)
New to building Android apps or want to better understand your build? We’ve reorganized our Gradle build documentation, added a new Android Build Overview section, and new details on verifying and updating your build dependencies. → https://t.co/Rc0hp8yrFq
I had the wonderful opportunity to connect with the tech community at DevFest-2024-Taipei by delivering the talk 'Adapting MediaPipe Demos For Kotlin Multiplatform'. If ur interested in exploring this topic, find the slides, the repo and related blog posts in the comments.
Excited to share that I’ll be speaking at DevFest Taipei 2024 in the #Mobile track! If you’re interested, I’d love to see you there and connect! 🎉
This year’s Taipei event will be held on Saturday, November 30, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, in National Taiwan University.
🌟 Just built a Progressive Blur BottomBar demo in last weekend in Compose! ✨ adding that immersive feel to the navigation experience. It was inspired by this year's trending design style, see other implementations in Apple Music and Midjourney from the last 2 images.

It seems that the Arc browser is about to discontinue maintainance but never released this Fluted Glass effect to production. Last weekend, I experimented with such effect based on the Compose UI system. 😃

Just wrapped up porting Mediapipe's Object Detection and LLM Inference demos to Kotlin Multiplatform—now their Android code run on iOS too! 🤩 Bringing cross-platform ML features to life has been a thrilling and fun journey. Please find the post & repo links in comments below.
As a 13 mini user, I was "SO LUCKY" 😂 I tried a few simulators such as 15 16 Pro/ProMax, all worked and made me believe it must be something wrong from my iOS project settings.
If you are using the latest Compose Multiplatform, especially 1.7.0-beta02 you may encounter this addtional white space issue on some devices (like iPhone 13 mini). Fixed in 1.7.0-rc01. I've spent more than one day on debugging it 😂https://t.co/4ErfY7zPLU
