@britbirdweather I'd be delighted with OBP on my Boulby patch, was discussing with my mate yesterday who had one there in in 80s when they were proper rare, not a sniff since.
Full house in Old Nab, Staithes shelters with guest @MikeeDeedee enjoying a decent morning's seawatch. Count https://t.co/ZkVGBdReuA, highlights single Black throat & 2 GND, brief Leach's Petrel, 3 groups of Barnacles, #Patchgold GC Grebe. @nybirdnews@teesbirds1@PatchBirding
First time I've seen super talented Francesca in her own band @dilettantesongs, at @TwisterellaFest, having seen her in @Nelunlit and @bccamplight. Good to see familiar faces including @fosterian1971 - birding must be quiet π
What do a hurricane, a moth and solar storms have in common? Answer - they have all likely contributed to an exceptional displacement of migrant North American birds in Europe this autumn π§΅1/17
Cracking day on the Boulby patch, nothing rare but plenty of Scandi migrants, inc. at least 21 Ring Ouzels in the full extent of the alum workings, bossing the hawthorns and rowans over other thrushes. Also Bramblings, Wheatears, chiffs, redpolls, Woodcock etc. @PatchBirding
Enjoyable first half in the Boulby patch, with good numbers of Scandi migrants Inc at least 14 Ring Ouzels Hummersea to Loftus Alum Quarries, Bramblings, Chiffs etc. Now for the E end after a short cafe refuel @PatchBirding@teesbirds1@nybirdnews
An excellent balanced reflection on what we might do together to restore and reconnect nature along Hadrians Wall and beyond through the lens of the sycamore gap tree incident @NorthWildlife@CraigBennett3@lizbonnin@WildlifeTrusts
Delighted to be back at Boltby Reservoir, near #Thirsk, this winter to continue our work for @YorkshireWater managing scrub at this important #PriorityPonds site, in collaboration with @BDSYorkshire & @BC_Yorkshire. Get in touch if you'd like to join us! Please share! π
Quirky lyrics, tight band, what's not to love about Anna Erhard tonight at @heartbsoton. She's not here long, hopefully back soon for more of height disputes, botanical garden reviews and camping dramas. π . Southampton well served by small venues hosting leftfield indie typesπ
We've been coming to Hampshire regularly sinceour daughter moved here, but only recently 'discovered' Lymington & Keyhaven NR. Shame it's a bit far for cycling there but certainly will visitmore. These Curlew Sands very confiding on a brief visit today. @LymKeyRanger@HOSbirding
@damian_money I can't compete with such an impressive find rate, but my first Wryneck, self-found as a 15yr old in Notts, still more memorable than many a twitched rarity π.
@lauriepeloquin @Krankenhausfest@steve_lamacq I heard that on.@BBC6Music too, agree that @Krankenhausfest was our all round favourite (although we love @DeerShed too, especially now we have Grandkids to entertain), @gwennosaunders was a top highlight at both. Bailey's best moment was meeting @shaunwkeaveny π
