The success of the 11 September strike has strengthened our collective resolve. But the struggle for justice does not end with one day of action.
The three-day continuous strike from 28–30 September is the next important step.
Comrades, let us convert the spirit of solidarity into sustained participation. Our unity must speak louder than our differences.

🏦 5-DAY BANKING: A LONG-PENDING DEMAND THAT DESERVES IMMEDIATE ACTION!
Bankers are the backbone of India’s financial system. We serve millions of customers, support businesses, implement government schemes, facilitate financial inclusion and keep the nation’s economy moving even beyond regular working hours.
Despite the commitment made under the 12th Bipartite Settlement dated 08.03.2024, the long-pending demand for 5-Day Banking remains unimplemented.
📌 Bankers deserve work-life balance.
📌 Time with family is not a luxury.
📌 A 5-day workweek is a legitimate demand not a favour!
With digital banking, UPI, ATMs and internet banking providing round-the-clock access to essential services, it is time to address this long-pending issue through meaningful action.
We appeal to @DFS_India, @FinMinIndia and @PMOIndia to intervene and ensure the early implementation of 5-Day Banking.
Enough waiting. Honour the commitment. Deliver #5DaysBankingNow !
5-Day Banking is not a new demand. It is a commitment awaiting implementation.
The 8 March 2024 Joint Note recognised all Saturdays as holidays, with revised working hours to follow after Government notification. Bankers accepted the adjustment in working hours to make a 5-day week possible.
Since then, bankers have continued to deliver—serving customers, supporting financial inclusion and carrying growing responsibilities.
The agreement is on record. The workforce has done its part. Now, the implementation must follow.
Respect the commitment. Respect the workforce.
Implement #5DayBankingNow!

#5DaysBanking is a simple and genuine demand.
Bankers deserve time for family, health and a better work-life balance.
The demand is clear.
The need is real.
The unity is strong.
Implement it #5DayBankingNow@PMOIndia@narendramodi
Bank employees sacrificed Saturdays for a more balanced routine, now it’s essential this agreement is put into effect. #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia
Staff shortages and increasing workloads demand the swift implementation of the 5-day banking week that IBA agreed in 2024. #5DayBankingNow#AIBOC@PMOIndia
Bankers keep India connected 24×7.
But behind every transaction, target and deadline is a human being, with a family, responsibilities and a life beyond the branch.
A 5-day week was agreed in March 2024, with bankers accepting longer working hours from Monday to Friday.
The demand is reasonable. The commitment is proven. The delay is difficult to justify.
Implement 5-Day Banking now.

PSBs TURNED THE STORY AROUND. DID EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION?
From 14.58% GNPA in March 2018 to just 1.93%, Public Sector Banks have delivered a historic turnaround—while achieving record profits with fewer hands.
Yet, 5-Day Banking remains pending, and the revised PLI framework raises serious concerns about employees being left with little or no incentive.
When success is collective, why should recognition be selective?
The people who delivered the turnaround deserve a system that recognises their contribution.
Implement 5-Day Banking. Make PLI fair, inclusive and collective-performance based.

A scheme that divides officers between performers and non-performers can only mean unrest among a harmonious banking family.
We demand fair, transperant, equal and non-discriminatory "Performance Linked Incentive" scheme agreed in Joint note #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia
Bankers across the nation stand united for 5 Days Banking, Fair PLI, meaningful bilateral dialogue and resolution of residual issues. These are legitimate demands for dignity, fairness & better work-life balance.
Listen to the voice of bankers and act now.✊
