@phillip_trudeau So prophetic just like Scanner Darkly that Mr. Dick is my 2nd fav Phillip altho I was soundly asleep while watching the weird anime-like version of its film adaption that's also prophetic in the sense it looked like generated by diffusion models from the Will Smith spaghetti era.
@phillip_trudeau I haven't looked at their menu thoroughly, however, I think there was a girl named Suzuko serving customers. She took the room upstairs and must have been saving money planning to leave the town. She just needed her balance to hit one million yen.
@ShieldCrush ohh wow, clear() seems to invoke memclr that utilizes SIMD instructions to clear memory like calling memset(array, 0, sizeof(array))? Didn't know anything about it.

@phillip_trudeau I wholeheartedly endorse that. Yet, to me, the real scary moment comes when feeling having passed the test, because that's when I jump on the pedestal and start to disdain others who are seemingly ngmi as if it's a rightfully earned conditional response. It's extremely mortifying
@phillip_trudeau@___frye I feel like the portable nuclear fusion reactor and AGI like entities in those movies are more of a fantasy than all these gods and wizards. We shall see god before seeing them on earth.
@phillip_trudeau AI bad in coding. Doesn't know JS, doesn't know sheeyt. Tried to make me feel defeated and mortified by lying. Just like humans but better. It already reached AGI in that particular department. Terminators coming soon with their puppies a machine gun planted on their back.
@ShieldCrush Do you actually see an improvement? But then, I have a feeling you've already structured your program in a way it doesn't produce much garbage to begin with, so the improvement might not be that noticeable?
@phillip_trudeau As a distributed system programmer specialised in the web service architecture, I can't help agreeing with this insightful argument. A high perf, yet as highly esoteric things like C might be ok for cute lil home projects, but the industry has moved on to better things like C#.
@rezich Drove from MT to MI once. Passed Bismarck toward Fargo but chickened out for the movie I saw as a kid. Stayed in Jamestown instead and moved on during daylight next day. Really missing that time. Hoping to do it again next year.
@rezich Serious input necessary, bro. If you were a "dev" who has patience deep enough to tolerate the modern tech stack crap for a better cause, working for Coinbase, yay or nay? No web frontend, Golang exclusive guaranteed. And would last night's outcome have any effect on your answer?
