2 ways to stick nitrogen into alkenes: 2 new methods expand synthetic chemists’ options for cutting double bonds and installing new bonds to nitrogen. https://t.co/frKtMUHn1Q
@Ella_Maru@ScienceMagazine@PaschkeAK@BenceBBotlik@Ffelician99 Thank you very much! The reaction itself should be scalable, though we only tested up to ~6 mmol. It is not (notibly) exothermic, but suffers from poor atom economy (lots of ammonium salts and iodobenzene as by-products), also the solvent is expensive, but can be recovered.

My first paper from the Morandi group. Shuttle catalysis greatly simplifies Co–H formation for MHAT reactivity – now all you need is a C–H bond. The final version is now available https://t.co/LIUN8viMl0
Congrats again to our former (@MariusDrLutz) and current (Ann-Sophie Paschke @PaschkeAK) PhD students for winning the @Merck Innovation Cup - please read the article below 👇kindly prepared by our colleagues from @ETH_en@ETH_DCHAB.
How can you make a ketone walk from one carbon to another? Find out today as Yannick Brägger shares his work from the @morandilab on this incredible transformation!! Hosted by @MBalletti2!
