The first poster presentation of the lab from two talented undergraduate students (the most right and the most left)! Congrats and nice to see all lab members are so supportive!
Happy to announce that our work on defective viral genomes as a potential therapeutic against virus infection will be further developed by Meletios Therapeutics @meletios_tx to tackle neglected tropical infectious diseases such as dengue, Zika and chikungunya viruses!
Interested in pathogen latency and the immune system? Want to use a tractable parasite for basic studies on the immune response in the CNS as part of a vibrant immunology community in Philadelphia (cooler than the west coast today). Please DM @IGGPenn@CytokineSociety

@hostmicrobe@CNN Do we know the exact time when SARS2 first jumped into human population? Maybe it occurred way earlier than we thought. We only notice it when it efficiently transmits among people.
Please RT!

Our latest preprint showing that components of the viral polymerase are essential to initiate paramyxovirus assembly. Beautiful images by @immunuelle. A big fat thanks to @WeitzmanLab@Lakdawala_Lab and @VirusWhisperer for resources and help!
A super useful new study led by @awyllie13 shows that saliva is a better diagnostic sample for #COVID19 testing than nasopharyngeal swabs. Switching to saliva solves problems of shortage of swabs, PPE, saves healthcare labor and gives better sensitivity and consistency 👍🏽
This is the breakfast my neighbor just delivered at our door, making the whole family very excited. We waved at each other across the narrow street, smiling. I think the excitement is not only from missing donuts for a month, but also for their kind and warm hearts. Thanks!
