Answer: I used content-based language instruction that included comprehensible input & low-stress output.

Multilingual Learners may meet reading & writing with socio-cultural backgrounds that come with different schema & cultural norms. Their languages may or may not have strong connections with English. MLs will meet reading & writing at different levels of language proficiency both in their first language & in English. The focus on language, oracy, and comprehension is vital.
