A greater danger is heading to Amhara’s who are located in East Welega and Horo Gudru!

Brigade General Hashim Kemal, Horo Gudru, and East Welga Zones Defense Deployment Officer, who participated in Yesterday’s meeting that was held in Horo Gudru Welega Zone, Amuru district, Obora town, announced with great joy to the leaders of the district and the community that they have completed their preparations to carry out an attack to eradicate the Amhara’s in Welega using the pretense that there is FANO in the area. He announced that the attack is planned to happen soon and will happen simultaneously in a coordinated and concerted way.

General Hashem is an extremist Prosperity Party servant and a dangerous person working with Oneg Shene. Further, he encouraged the people that they should not be afraid since he said they have more power than what the people think. However, he warns them that their plan is possible when only it is kept secret and asks them to keep it as a secret.

In the same news, the armies stationed in different Kebeles of Amuru district from Haro Logo, Agamsa, and Dengab, now mobilized to Obora town, were told to 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝by to attack the Amhara People living there.
In addition, militias dressed in the army uniform in Jardega Jarte district who joined starting from Shambu have camped from Sekele to Alibo city; they too are told to 𝐬𝐭a𝐧𝐝𝐛𝐲 for the mission they will be given to them.

Similarly, the information we got from the place indicates that in East Wolega, the militias, from Nekmete to Kiremu, wearing army uniforms, are deployed for the massacre.

So, please let all concerned know so that all of our people in Welega can prepare themselves for the inevitable struggle.

In the shifting political landscape of #Ethiopia, Fano emerges as a beacon championing the cause of a united nation. Their vision is not limited to the singular interests of the Amhara people but extends to the collective aspirations of all Ethiopians. It’s a call for national unity, a sentiment that resonates deeply, transcending the boundaries of just the Amhara community.

Misunderstanding Fano's nationalism as an “identity crisis” detracts from their core philosophy, which prioritizes an inclusive Ethiopian identity. Their concerns are deeply rooted in the pursuit of a united and cohesive nation, not a reluctance to embrace democracy or change.

In the midst of political upheavals, Fano’s ambition is unmistakably clear: an Ethiopia that rises above ethnic divides. This vision is not "irrational" but an ode to a time when Ethiopia celebrated a unified national spirit before the onset of ethnic federalism.

However, the present political dynamics have placed #Fano in an uneasy position. Emerging from the shadows of a civil war with the #TPLF, the #Amhara region, where Fano is based, has legitimate security concerns. The peace agreement signed in Pretoria had provisions for disarmament, but concerns arise when adjacent regions like the TPLF have not been fully disarmed. In this precarious situation, the presence of terrorist organizations like ONEG and #OLA only intensifies the region's apprehensions.

It's concerning that the federal government, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, has disproportionately focused on Fano and Amhara forces, who played a pivotal role as allies during the war with TPLF. This move to disarm them, perceived as suspicious, hasty and lacking legal justification, has contributed to the fall out between Amhara forces and Abiy and Julla forces.

Allegations and critiques about Fano’s strategies need to be viewed against this backdrop. If they employ media or other tactics, it's a call for their vision of unity and security. Accusations, thus, need to be backed by clear evidence, especially given Fano’s foundational aim of building a united nation.

Describing the aspirations for a unified Ethiopia as “political degeneration” misses the broader narrative. Fano’s mission is not division but unity. Their drive is to navigate the country beyond ethnic challenges, aiming for a robust, unified Ethiopia.

It's pivotal to understand that Fano’s primary commitment remains towards national unity. Past dialogues and engagements that haven't been successful should be looked at within the larger political intricacies instead of placing the onus squarely on Fano.

In conclusion, Fano’s unwavering advocacy for a united Ethiopia, even amidst political tensions, underscores the importance of mutual understanding and dialogue. Their resistance to ethnic federalism is anchored in a belief in national unity. As Ethiopia grapples with its future, recognizing and appreciating voices like Fano that prioritize national unity is crucial for the country's progress.
