Two of the 12 young men sentenced to death in Iran, in relation to the Alikhani Square case in Isfahan, Abolfazl Sepahi, 23 and Alireza Sepahi 24, have reportedly been told they will be executed at dawn. They are cousins and have already had their final goodbye with their family, including their imprisoned mother, who was temporarily brought from prison for one last farewell.

The world must not stay silent. Their only crime is to fight for freedom.

Alireza Sepahi and Abolfazl Sepahi are two young relatives facing imminent execution in the Alikhani Square case in Isfahan.

They were reportedly removed from the general ward of Dastgerd Prison and transferred to solitary confinement. Their families fear that a recent prison meeting may have been arranged as a “final visit.”

Reports warn that the executions could be carried out at any moment.

This danger cannot be dismissed. Two other defendants in the same case, Erfan Esfandiari and Gol-Mohammad Mohammadi, have already been executed. Their deaths have intensified fears that Alireza and Abolfazl may now be next.

Their legal proceedings have been surrounded by grave concerns.

Their lawyer was reportedly denied full and effective access to the case file and was unable to obtain a copy of the judgment.

Their families say that CCTV footage and other evidence show that both young men were elsewhere when the incident attributed to them occurred. Yet this potentially exculpatory evidence was reportedly disregarded.

Alireza received four death sentences. Abolfazl received three.

There are also serious allegations that other detainees were tortured and pressured during interrogation to falsely implicate them. These allegations have not been subjected to any transparent and independent investigation.

Two young lives must not be taken after a secretive and deeply disputed process.

امیرحسین صفری، ۲۷ ساله و از متهمان پرونده موسوم به «میدان علیخانی اصفهان» است. او نان‌آور خانواده و دارای معلولیت شدید جسمی است. چند سال پیش در یک تصادف، عصب دست او از ناحیه نخاع گردن آسیب دیده و دستش عملاً حس و کارایی ندارد؛ با این حال، مدارک پزشکی و شرایط جسمی او در روند رسیدگی نادیده گرفته شده و حکم اعدام برایش صادر شده است.
امیرحسین و دیگر متهمان این پرونده در بند امنیتی «الف-طا» نگهداری می‌شوند و بنا بر گزارش‌های رسیده، در هفته‌های اخیر از تماس تلفنی و هواخوری نیز محروم بوده‌اند. همچنین گزارش شده که احکام تأیید شده و پرونده وارد مرحله اجرا شده است.
خواهر او امشب از ما خواسته سکوت نکنیم.
امیرحسین نباید در سکوت اعدام شود. صدای او و خانواده‌اش باشیم.
