@JohnDalton6011 yes indeed. Just like we forgot the pollution that happened when local councils ran the sewage, then the water authorities. https://t.co/sShLSswDxh #youandyours@BBCRadio4
@DavidMe17661988 and in the cited studies the SFA ranges from 20-100 g/day. 180 - 900 kcal/day. Median is 36 g/day say 13% of energy intake. https://t.co/5wCzsUVN7K
@AdrianSotoMota Can you help me understand why Fig 4 doesn't seem to show any reductions in LDL-C, whereas some of the RCTs in BMI 25-30 clearly did. Is it just that the individual data available didn't cover those studies that found a reduction ?
@DoctorTro Fig 4 above is a sub-analysis of 1/4 of the participants with individual data. The forest plots of the whole study populations show reductions in LDL-C in the overweight -
@Obesitysoc I am intrigued why you think sugar in biscuits and cakes is "hidden" - surely it's an inherent component of these foods. Sugar in a beef burger I would count as "hidden", but not in sweet things.
@petercowdell@EVNewsDaily@raimonick@efixx247 We old farts remember being kept warm by 3 bar electric fires back in the day - 3 kW flat out all day. It's what British electrics were built for.
