@palkisu, I would genuinely value your independent opinion.
If you find merit in the issue, please consider investigating or covering it.
The question is simple:
Can India turn verified climate action into exports, forex and tax revenueโwithout cost to Indian taxpayers?

@palkisu, I request you to look into an important policy issue: should India provide Article 6 LoAs to eligible Indian Improved Cookstove projects so qualifying credits can access international markets, including CORSIA?

The Government can protect India's interests through eligibility criteria, MRV, volume limits, registry tracking, safeguards against double counting and corresponding adjustments where required.
So why not create a regulated pathway for qualifying projects?
6/8 โ Comment
Most importantly, this does not require the Indian taxpayer to fund these projects.
The private sector has already invested in project development, distribution, monitoring and verification.
The Government can retain full control over Article 6 authorisation.

Why does this matter?
โ๏ธ CORSIA creates international demand for eligible carbon credits.
With the required host-country authorisation and compliance with all applicable requirements, qualifying Indian projects could potentially access this market.

Countries including ๐ท๐ผ Rwanda, ๐ง๐น Bhutan, ๐ฒ๐ผ Malawi, ๐ณ๐ฌ Nigeria and ๐จ๐ฉ DRC have already moved towards Article 6 authorisation for clean-cooking projects.
India has the scale to become a much larger participant.

Indian companies have already invested in developing Improved Cookstove projects, distributing stoves, monitoring outcomes and generating independently verified carbon credits under standards such as Gold Standard.
The issue is access to international demand.
๐ฎ๐ณ has an opportunity under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement
Rwanda, Bhutan, Malawi, Nigeria & DRC are enabling clean-cooking projects to access international carbon markets

@narendramodi@moefcc@DGCAIndia@icao Why does this matter?
โ๏ธ CORSIA creates international demand for eligible carbon credits.
Indian cookstove projects could access this market, potentially increasing the value and demand for credits generated by projects implemented in India.

@narendramodi@moefcc@DGCAIndia@icao India should provide Letters of Authorisation (LoA) to eligible Indian Improved Cookstove projects under standards such as Gold Standard.
This would allow qualifying credits to access international markets, including CORSIA.
