you're churning out organic content and hitting up influencers to do advertising, and some videos are even hitting 100k videos.

the issue is that the viewers that you are getting aren't engaged. with organic content, this could mean not having a good enough hook or cta, and with getting influencers to post on their accounts for you, this could mean that they have botted views/comments.

not all views are created equally, be wary of the ones that you're paying for

Every concept has an irl corollary

For example, take concurrency-oriented infra vs throughput-oriented infra

One can serve many connections at once, but with low throughput, and the other can serve few connections, but with a lot of throughput.

Now think about the dynamics behind a restaurant and a bar. Waiters wait on multiple tables at once, serving 30 people at once at times, albeit slowly. On the other hand, bartenders are serving drinks to 3-4 people, but is also talking to customers and paying more attention to each one.

The sooner you realize patterns behind software engineering concepts and real life, the better equipped you will be to problem-solve on the job.

How is meta recruiting ahead of startup recruiting??

Startups are still interviewing candidates asking them to code manually without AI like its 2015 in a world where knowing how to write code is becoming increasingly obsolete.

I do believe that writing code and reading code used to be equally important, but these days, a large part of a 10x engineer's role is being able to read a ton of AI generated code and being able to determine what is good vs what's not. Just being able to write code alone without AI is not a good enough test of an engineers skill in todays market.

In my opinion, some sort of intense code review exercise is much better of a choice compared to manual coding. Work trial lowkey looking like a really good option too if both parties have the bandwidth to run that.
