Met with Dr Musonda Mumba, Secretary General of the Convention on Wetlands, in Delhi today.

With two days to go for #WorldWetlandsDay, India today increased its tally of Ramsar Sites from 75 to 80.

The emphasis PM Shri @narendramodi ji has put on environmental protection and conservation has led to a paradigm shift in how India treats its wetlands. This reflects in the Amrit Dharohar initiative envisioned by PM Modi.

Congratulations to the states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka whose wetlands have made it to the list of Ramsar Sites.

Karnataka gets another 3 of its water bodies designated as Ramasar sites. One of them is Magadi Kere Bird Conservation Reserve known for its migratory bar headed geese. Kudos !!!!
