Dainik Bhaskar team took an eye test of 112 truck drivers who drive on the Nagpur Mumbai highway.

42% of drivers cannot see properly, 15% have cataracts, and 8% have colour blindness. Some cannot see digits on their phones, and some cannot see ahead of 15-20 feet.

This is the situation of one sample. Imagine the situation of drivers around the country.

We urgently need something like a mandatory driving license renewal with authentic medical reports every two years, for everyone who is driving a vehicle on roads.

It's taken more than a year and the internal cross roads are still dug up. Pollution has made us constantly sick and the redevelopment madness has just begun.

The internal roads in Lokhandwala Andheri area are mostly dug up. Traffic on Link Road connecting to Juhu is always jammed. The metro has taken up half the roads with other half being occupied by parked cars and autos. Cars struggle to move even at 10 km/hr. The flyover connecting Western Express Highway to Lokhandwala is under construction since many years.

Why do tax paying citizens need to endure such pathetic infra ?
