It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS, indeterminate dendritic cell histiocytosis or other (non-LCH) histiocytic sarcomas cases.
I'm trying to understand non-surgical chemo and targeted therapy options, new pathology markers to better diagnose subtypes/treatments, and any data on progression in pediatric patients. Please feel free to share – I’m trying to cast a wide net due to the rarity of this condition and how little is known.
People can contact me directly at my first name (as written in my profile) at https://t.co/ubo0zQRMn0.
It's always funny that in the line with dreaded SSSS at the airport there is always one white person confused about what's happening and asking questions. That's how they make it random 😜
My paper with @saadgulzar on how to improve supply of "Good politicians" at local level is out in the Jan issue of the Review of Economic Studies. It is open access for everyone https://t.co/l2Kd9uuWIE
I have debunked this map of global IQs, and the study it was based on, so many times, but it just won't die. Help me spread the word about how much this study sucks. For every 10 likes, I will tweet a ridiculous fact about how badly this study was conducted.
Please consider applying to a pre-doc position at UCSD. Projects at the intersection of development and culture in Africa with @emontero_CR@DrNathanNunn James Robinson & others. Possible fieldwork in DRC. French skills preferred. Thank you! https://t.co/Bsvkr6aWnl @econ_ra
10 key insights from development economics research on @vox_dev in 2024.
Today I wrote about the standout takeaways from the broad range of research I have read this year. Here they are 🧵 1/11
My fantastic coauthor @PriyomaM is on the market. Her jmp offers an elegant insight into when spouses learn from each other, and when they don't. Always amazed at the range of tools she commands (lab, field, online, observational data, programming techniques) & her work ethic.
Really looking forward to presenting our work on the control and public health impacts of crop burning in the conference plenary on Climate Justice on Dec 17.
1/ How do climate shocks reshape lives inside households? 🏠🌍
My #JMP explores how climate shocks can change the way household members share resources, deepening intrahousehold inequalities. This has important implications for climate resilience and policy design.

My fantastic student, Priyoma, is on the market.
You should hire her because
1- A very interesting JMP combining experimental, gender, and development topics

3- She is a great colleague.
On the #EconJobMarket !
🚨 JMP Alert 🚨
Individuals fail to incorporate information held by their spouses. Is it because they are generally reluctant to learn from their spouse?
In my #JMP, I show: NO! Because communication is challenging in the absence of expertise.
