did some digging into @pendle_fi boros launch and the numbers are impressive.
look at this chart - it shows why boros could be huge for pendle(in the sense that pendle created a beast).
crypto perp markets do 10+ trillion dollars annually vs 1 trillion for spot. that is a 10x difference in market size.
pendle is basically doing the same move:
• v2 handles spot yields: 35.5 billion dollars
• boros targets perp funding rates: 355 billion dollars potential
funding rates are payments that happen every few hours in perpetual futures. when longs outnumber shorts, longs pay shorts to keep prices balanced.
this creates constant yield streams.
the thing is, nobody really had good tools to trade these funding rate flows until now.
protocols like ethena manage billions in perp positions but struggle to hedge funding costs. @boros_fi gives them a way to lock in predictable rates.
for traders, you can now bet directly on whether funding will go up or down without taking price risk on the underlying asset.
early traction looks solid. open interest caps keep getting raised as people pile in.
pendle already dominates yield trading. boros just opened up a market 10x bigger.

Current Market Cap: ≈$268K
1. Why did $USX suddenly catch attention?
Officially announced a USX stablecoin with $166M TVL on launch.
Tweet said:
“Solana has a stablecoin of its own. $USX is live.”
On-chain hunters found something curious:
👉 The same deployer address had launched a Meme coin named $USX on BonkPad earlier.
So people started asking:
Is this the “prequel” token of the stablecoin?
Or just a test the dev later abandoned?
2. The on-chain twist
Stablecoin CA: 6FrrzDk5mQARGc1TDYoyVnSyRdds1t4PbtohCD6p3tgG
Meme coin CA: EBr4trNVgxtXgMrUH1NbdCSHxhLmC4USgQJEsUiVbonk
Deployer: 5RabYeYt19sor9RvExkiRvv1T9rWje5hPW7xeYXB6quQ
On Sept 30, the deployer burned ≈3.56M $USX (Meme coin).
Interpretation:
👉 Maybe the dev wanted to cut ties.
👉 But for the market, this is fuel for imagination.
3. Community narratives
Narrative camp:
“If the stablecoin grows big, people will revisit this Meme ‘prequel’.”
Conspiracy camp:
“Same name + same deployer = enough to speculate.”
Cautious camp:
“Pure coincidence. Stablecoin is stablecoin, Meme is Meme.”
4. Our take
This feels a bit like DOGE in its early days:
DOGE started as a joke, mocking BTC.
The joke went too far, and turned into a legend.
For $USX:
The Meme coin may never be tied to the stablecoin.
But the narrative value already exists.
In crypto, sometimes a coincidence is all it takes for a narrative to ignite.
5. Risks
⚠️ No official link between the two tokens.
⚠️ Purely narrative-driven, fundamentals don’t transfer.
⚠️ High risk of zero once hype fades.
6. TL;DR
$USX could be seen as the “Meme prequel” of a stablecoin:
Same deployer, same name, Meme first → stablecoin later → old token burned.
It’s not value transfer, but a perfect story hook for speculation.
Sometimes in crypto, all you need is a story.
