I usually point ppl to Eph 5 instead. It is impossible for your marriage to reflect Christ's love for the church if you marry a non-Christian. Also 1 Cor 9:5 and 7:39 shows that Christians married Christians.

Examining Paul’s use of this παροικοι. Paul is thinking less of the fact that Gentiles are "sojourners" or "strangers", the usual meaning.

He is thinking more of the fact that they are not of the same house as Jews.
