@bobspaysubstack I am not following this one as closely because I am out of it, but tangentially follow it and was updating some information. I thought they said that they were going to report organic growth and highlighted that they were doing it on last call, but I didn't see it in the letter.
@bobspaysubstack Feel like the only premium buyout would be from Elon who would buy it back to complete his X vision for when he started the thing. Wild that he could buy PayPal for not much more than he bought twitter.
@HowardHughesHQ The release says: "Cash G&A is expected to range . . . excluding non-cash stock-based compensation and quarterly variable fees paid to Pershing Square." Will SBC be paid to PSH?
@ohcapideas Couldn’t agree more! I started buying at about O.7x BV and the fact I didn’t go all in is crazy in retrospect. Even dumber was selling a good chunk at 1.1 BV only to have to buy it all back and much more at higher prices (not to mention the incredible compounding in the interim)
@BillAckman@PershingSquare saw the release on $HHH today and I think there may be a typo (or at least an ambiguity in the release:
"Cash G&A is expected to range . . . excluding non-cash stock-based compensation and quarterly variable fees paid to Pershing Square."
@ACIPartnerhship Interesting to me that $BRK buys $CB at a premium to its own BV, but hasn't bought any of $BRK despite the massive amount of cash on the balance sheet. Maybe there were some additional buybacks this Q (seems unlikely given p/bv has not substantially dropped).
@atelicinvest@vanckzhu That is my thought also. I have no idea who wins or loses, but I like the VMS market in general, and feel like the folks at CSU are people I can trust to figure out what works and can do so at a reasonable valuation.
@vanckzhu@atelicinvest Am curious what you're looking at for SaaS. I have bought $CSU, but just don't have the confidence or conviction for anything else.
@bobspaysubstack Great summary. I had actually recently run a similar analysis and had very similar numbers. $TOST gives me concerns with the ramping CAC and how CAC growth is outpacing GP/location growth (I realize int'l is a factor but the trend is not ideal)
@buccocapital Honest question, if SBC as % of revenue is higher than revenue growth, how does a shareholder ever actually expect to make money on the investment?
@Brian_Stoffel_ Is 20% op margin 10 years out reasonable for $MELI. That seems optimistic for marketplace (particularly as they expand to 1P) and the fintech seems really optimistic when comparing to mature businesses like PYPL/XYZ. Genuinely asking as trying to decide where MELI is a no brainer
@ACIPartnerhship Was surprised to see this. On last call, Fairfax said that it had not deployed the 900M from the last debt issuance and had over $3B cash on the BS. AWAC option isn’t for a while so wonder if there’s a different acquisition target. Doubt it’s a large tender or anything.
@VikingVan100 To be fair, I think the numbers should be reduced by interest and overhead which reduces the number by about $1B for 2025, but agree wholeheartedly.
@elonmusk, seems like a good resting ground for #AmericaParty. Who you got local?
US Rep. Mark Green will step down July 20. Who could replace him?

@NutritionMadeS3 Enjoyed the video! I hadn’t sen that @KevinH_PhD paper on obesity energetics before so thanks for the introduction to
It. Really interesting paper and though it did a particularly good job explaining the components of energy expenditure!
