⚡️Regime forces and Qeerroo (Oromo youth) massacre over 60 Amhara civilians, burn more than 50 homes, and attack Orthodox church in Shashober, Gida-Ayana Woreda (📍East Wollega Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia).

🔴 Between August 20th–21st, regime joint forces accompanied by Qeerroo carried out large-scale retaliatory attacks against Amhara communities in Shashober and surrounding villages.

🔴 Regime forces conducted house-to-house attacks targeting residents unable to flee, including pregnant women, nursing mothers, visually impaired individuals, and elderly civilians. Preliminary reports indicate more than 60 civilian casualties, including Komos Aba Tadesse, chief administrator of the Andode-Shashober Kidist Selassie Church.

🔴 The attacks also involved widespread looting and destruction of civilian property, with more than 50 residential homes burned, while Lemi Teklehaimanot Church was also targeted.

🔴 The violence forced thousands of Amhara residents to flee Menders 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 22, creating another large-scale displacement crisis in the area.
