It's been 16 months since the @sfmta_muni board approved bus-only lanes on Masonic and they still haven't been built. Meanwhile, the 43 gets stuck in bumper to bumper traffic every day, leading to huge delays. When will we finally get bus lanes on Masonic?

Thrilled that BART Board unanimously approved my motion for 250 parking spaces MAXIMUM at El Cerrito Plaza BART, from current 740 spaces, prioritizing housing over parking.

Less parking means ~800 units will be built at the station, with 35% affordable and 12% moderate income.

In May I introduced a BART Board item calling for staff to develop cost estimates to reopen all underground restrooms, a first step to reopening.

They did more, and this Thursday at BART Board they will share a plan to REOPEN ALL CLOSED RESTROOMS. 👏👏👏

Reading through MTC workshop materials for Wednesday/Thursday. Transit priority is one area of focus - SFMTA is leader, VTA is laggard

I biked along most of the the 51A/51B route today. Only saw one bus going my direction. I of course passed it and put about a mile between us before turning.

Anyways, this is why many folks don’t ride the bus.

Observations after watching 20 cars go by:

– 50% of cars slowed down.
– A decent number of SUVs slowed, too!
– The only self-driving car that passed by did not slow down.

SFTMA told me it's going to take 30+ months to get a speed bump installed on my street IF my application is approved.

So, I bought one on Amazon for $140, including the masonry bolts!😀

You guys. It works.

13 months later:

- all cuts were prevented
- all lines were saved
- the sales tax has recovered
- two new lines were launched
- 90% was restored TODAY
- 100% is coming in Feb
