I had the privilege of meeting him last year, and I was deeply moved by his clarity, compassion, and remarkable sense of humor.

Together with @MEFHaiti, @the_IDB convened an important meeting today to highlight the role of the private sector for Haiti’s development. We want to help Haiti’s private sector create jobs that can fuel growth, generate opportunities, and ultimately help reduce violence. The U.S. HOPE-HELP programs are a key short-term support. We are working on a medium and long-term recovery plan and on mobilizing resources to help stabilize #Haiti and rebuild.
