I will come clean, when I first shared this, I held back from stating the senior citizen’s exact concern. In light of the recent news & evidence from TSC Nashik, I think it’s fair to put it out there.
There were several people present at the meeting & I am open to being corrected. As I understood it, the old lady’s complaint on illegal hawkers on FC road stemmed from her observation that many of the illegal stall owners are young Bangladeshi men & she warned that if they continued to be there, teasing befriending young girls .. there is a risk of a situation resembling the plot of The Kerala Story playing out on FC Road.
