@laurenleemack 😩 groan one of those… one time after doing an hour long performance someone asked, “so………..disability. What’s next?” I cannot fathom what this question meant
"I’m realizing so much of my experiences growing up disabled were about using art as a pathway to communicate, to have something that I could do and be good at it, and to be told I was good at it. Art is within my range of control."

Huge. Meta researchers developed a speech-to-speech translator for #Taiwanese Hokkien, using 30k hrs of TW drama data. Maybe there's a metaverse where mini Zuckerbergs just watch Taiwan drama w/ my a-má, all discussing how evil that one character truly is. https://t.co/Hyufhjm9gp
#JobAlert! The department of Design Media Arts at UCLA seeks a tenure track professor of media arts who works in the areas of social, environmental, and/or disability activism. This is an open rank search in a leading department!
Very upset by the new Bee and Puppycat series on Netflix. Sad to witness a re-write of a funny, gorgeous show into something boring and suffering from Netflix bloat.
This Wednesday, come join Carmen Papalia, our @LeonardoISAST Criptech fellow and lab resident, in convo with @yoitsyosquared for pain series #5! At noon PST and on Zoom (link in bio)

this is one of favorite articles written about Taiwan handling the pandemic featuring crip, trans government "digital minister" Audrey Tang https://t.co/WzsfFV6ZfU
https://t.co/x4KIinzxLH reading this makes me think of all the ppl that think tech can save us all in crisis and it's like people don't even want to download an app to save their lives
wondering why there aren't any good apps out there for reminding people about covid incubation periods. a 'self care' app that you can log who you come in contact with, how risky the situation was, and how long since that interaction was.
i'm no app developer but can you just take the calendar in period tracking apps and make it for 14 days for covid, you can input symptoms, create a pod for yourself, add other ppl to the pod family
