Two years after #Pretoria, key provisions haven’t been achieved:
1. returning millions of #IDPs to their homes in #WesternTigray & other parts of #Tigray
2. restoring Tigray’s pre-war borders
3. withdrawing non-ENDF forces
4. transitional justice
@HouseForeign@SenateForeign
Of 749,509 people still internally displaced in Tigray, only about 17 of them were surveyed in the multisectoral needs assessment.
As with the @WFP EFSAs, this is yet another major assessment of Tigray that essentially "skips" IDPs.

#Tigray: A candlelight vigil was held in Mekelle to commemorate the fourth year anniversary of the starting of the #TigrayGenocide.
The event brought together youth, artists, elders, children, opposition leaders & public figures to honor & remember those who lost their lives.
With reports of war crimes & crimes against humanity persisting, silence is not an option. It’s time to pressure Eritrea to withdraw from #Tigray & ensure full adherence to the Pretoria Agreement.

Today marks 2 years since the signing of the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement (CoHA) in Pretoria, South Africa. While some progress has been made in its implementation, significant advancements have yet to occur as a silent #TigrayGenocide continues. A thread on CoHA’s status👇🏾
#Ethiopia: #TPLF calls for full Implementation of Pretoria peace deal on second anniversary, citing ‘unfulfilled’ commitments
Marking two years since the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement (#CoHA), the TPLF stated that "major foundational points" remain unmet despite some successes, such as the cessation of hostilities and partial restoration of services in #Tigray. The party claim a partial portion of Tigray’s territory remains "under occupation" and that displaced residents are enduring tough conditions, with many "living in worn-out tents."
The TPLF attributed the delay in fulfilling the agreement to the federal government’s "reluctance," "internal divisions" within its ranks, and a lack of "sufficient international pressure." The organization appealed to international actors, including the #US, #EU, #AU, and #IGAD, for support in full implementation. Reaffirming their commitment to the agreement, the TPLF called it the "fundamental framework for peace."

The #Tigray war may have left 600,000 dead, according to the African Union, not to mention a huge amount of looting and destruction factories, infrastructures schools and hospitals by invaders.
