@NigeriaStories ๐ ๐ ๐ ok ok...Now, what do they have to say about the story going round on the cancellation of the country's participation in the relay races?
If youโre still struggling to find your feet like me, if youโre still trying to build your life brick by crooked, uneven, sweat-drenched brick, then listen: you cannot afford to slouch. You cannot afford to loseguard. You cannot afford to be one of those people that say, โIโll do it laterโโno you wonโt. You know you wonโt. Hereโs what youโll do instead: Youโll fall asleep scrolling through your regrets and wake up with more. And when you wake, youโll hate yourself even more. But whatโs the point of all that hate, all that rage, if you wonโt use it to fight the very thing that makes you hate yourself in the first place?
You gotta keep grinding. No excuses. No pity party. Wake up and eat the frog. Swallow the damn thing whole. Take up the biggest fucking load you can carry, and keep it moving.
And if the weight starts to crush you, if your knees begin to buckle and your chest tightens like itโs hugging the five-year-old you, the one who was raped over and over and each time you spoke, nobody believed you, nobody still believes you, cry.
Yes, cry. But cry to yourself, my guy. Lock the door, bury your face in the pillow and let the tears soak it till it smells like unwashed dreams. Whatever you do, donโt tell no babe. I promise you, with all the ashes in my mouth and all the Ls in my life, donโt tell her. You think sheโll cradle your pain like a porcelain bowl? No. Sheโll clench that thing like ammunition. Sheโll keep it till one random Tuesday evening, during an argument about toothpaste, sheโll fling it back at you:
โThatโs how you were crying like a fool that time your business failed.โ
You think youโre opening up. She thinks sheโs gathering evidence, bullets sheโll load into her mouth when the war starts. And believe me, my guy, the war always starts.
Listen to me, brother. Nobody really cares about your struggle until it ends in a Benz or a coffin. Until then, youโre just noise. Youโre background. Youโre that โe go soon blowโ guy they secretly muted. And the problem with being muted is, even when you finally scream in breakthrough, theyโll act like they didnโt hear you. Like you never told them you were cooking something. Like they werenโt watching you burn.
Keep grinding, G. Keep bleeding in silence. Let your suffering ferment into sauce; hot, atarodo sauce. Let the humiliation season you. Let the shame remind you youโre alive. If they mock you for trying, mock them for watching. Mock them with results. Make it painful to remember the day they overlooked you.
You owe it to the boy you once were โthe one who used to dream on empty stomachs and smiled at things he couldnโt afford. The one who didnโt know how cruel the world could be. The one who, each time he was raped, they said he was just being manipulative again, up to his usual tricks, so he stopped talking, stopped fighting, and just let everything happen. And now heโs secretly bisexual, because how do you not ache for what you were never supposed to know? How do you not crave the very thing that broke you? The one who thought love was enough, that talent would speak, that goodness would be repaid. You owe it to that boy to fight. To become dangerous. To become undeniable.
You donโt get to rest yet, my G. Not until your father no longer asks if youโve eaten, stops sending you monthly bailouts, stops paying your rent and your childrenโs school fees. Not until your mother smiles in full sentences. Not until your siblings stop calculating the price of every phone call. Not until your name enters rooms before your body does.
And even then, when it does, keep going. Because this world? This world respects madness. So go mad. Go utterly, violently mad about your own life. Pour everything in. Empty yourself. Burn the ships. Forget plan B. Bleed on the blueprint if you must, just make sure the house stands.
And when it does, theyโll ask how you did it. Smile. Donโt say a word. Let the silence mock them back.
What President @officialABAT and his band of political carnivores are doing is not accidental. No, itโs far more deliberate, far more calculated. The same has been done by former politicians and Presidents, just not this brazenly. They are conducting an experiment, the kind despots have practiced for centuries. They prod, they poke, they test the waters, measuring, ever so carefully, the tolerance of the Nigerian people.
How much theft can they endure? How much humiliation can they swallow? How much criminality parading as governance can they survive before the dam finally bursts? It is, in effect, a grotesque science. And, tragically, Nigerians have so far proven to be the perfect test subjects.
You see, the tragedy of Nigeria is not merely that it has been cursed with a gluttonous elite. No, the real tragedy is that this elite has discovered something extraordinary: that the Nigerian spirit, for all its resilience, for all its brilliance, possesses an endurance threshold so vast, it can be exploited almost indefinitely.
Other nations, when provoked, revolt. They march, they resist, they claw back a semblance of dignity. But Nigeria? Nigeria absorbs it all; corruption, brutality, tribalism, the brazen mockery of its own citizens. Like an ox beaten daily, it grows accustomed to the whip, even as its masters grow more inventive in cruelty.
And so, the cannibal politicians keep feeding, devouring the nationโs lifeblood, emboldened by the silence, the compliance, the misplaced hope that tomorrow might somehow be better. It is not governance, my friends. It is a circus of predators fattening themselves on the endurance of their prey.
But here is the rub, every experiment has a breaking point. Every tyrant miscalculates. One day, when the Nigerian people awaken to the realization that endurance is not a virtue but a cage, when they finally shatter the illusion that survival is enough, the reckoning will be swift. And for those who have feasted too long at the table of iniquity, it will not merely be justice, it will be retribution.
Ah, and that, my dear friends, will be a moment worth waiting for.
JUST ONE DAY.
@firstladyship I have nothing against Prof. But why didnt he be a man of integrity and summon enough chutzpah to abandon the APC ship at the end of the 1st tenure? Was it not clear enough to him at that point that he was a sheep roaming among fire spitting dragons?
Would have earnd more respect
@KhingSZN @NigeriaStories -Cyber bullying and blackmailing the government.
-Leaking state secret.
-Committing action likely to incite violence. Etc etc.
Man will be quickly arraigned in court.
I'm really afraid for him now because we citizens will only watch and do nothing for real..only online.
@NigeriaStories Should I say this is the worst set of government we have ever had. So much money coming in from oil and non-oil sector, with the so called end of subsidy so much cash freed up, monthly allocation boosted and on top of that $Billions borrowed. Yet nothing is working. Haba jama'ata
Underrated life advice: Do what most people avoid. Wake up early. Focus deeply. Move daily. Be present. Have difficult conversations. Do what you say youโre going to do. Recipe for a good life.
