Having seen firsthand the way cancer destroys your body, I am disgusted that Chadwick Boseman had to face such criticism about his appearance by people who failed to think about what he might be facing behind the scenes. Dying is painful enough with this side of abuse.
It’s not lost on me the way the internet bullied Chadwick Boseman the last two years about his appearance, him looking tired, etc to the point where he began deleting photos while he was fighting for his life. You truly never know what people are going through. BE KIND.
This is great Steve. Such a kind heart. I've just set up a new non profit venture called GriefPal - a service that matches bereaved adults based on their loss, age and location. Currently fundraising to develop it into a mobile app. I'll definitely drop you an e-mail.
It’ll be two years in September since my wife Rachael (BBC presenter, newsreader and podcaster) died and while the past 22 months have been anything but quiet, I think it’s about time I got back involved in the real world. And that means going it alone.

though we may share our pain with those around us, very rarely will we be able present ourselves as a completely open book. when will our grief be able to roam free in this world without the fear of judgement or shame? #grief#loss#death

After a @thegriefcast tweet I have started a WhatsApp group for young orphans (not gatekeeping that term so if you feel young and are orphaned, come on over!). DM me your number and join for support, chat and from the looks of it: some dark humour (the best kind).
@doctorconnolly Not a huge amount charity wise. Mainly the credibility that comes with being a lawyer and also soft skills - communication, negotiation, drafting etc. Although I could have picked these up in other professions
This is absolutely incredible.
A journalist confronts @BorisJohnson with a picture of a 4 year old with suspected pneumonia forced to lie on coats in a Leeds hospital.
Johnson just grabs his phone and puts it in his pocket.
Everyone needs to see this.
@rentswrites@StylistMagazine Yeah I think it's a great article for raising awareness. Would be good to have some more profiles on different aspects of disenfranchised grief in the future as there is so little written about it. I only recently came across the term myself. Great work!
This is interesting @StylistMagazine However, disenfranchised grief can also mean 'conventional' grief that is silenced or unwelcome in society. Particularly when there are limited or no support systems and grieving spaces in place. #millennialgrief#Grief#Loss
