Wait and see what will happen to city road construction! People have been getting contracts to do roads and they walk away from construction sites and it is OK. There is going to be a noticeable seismic shift. Playing games will not work. Not this time.

Gen. @mkainerugaba is the CDF, First Son, Senior Presidential Adviser on Special Operations, and a four-star General. But despite all these titles and authority, Gen. Muhoozi remains one of the most disciplined road users in our country. He does not violate traffic lights 🚦 and does not chase other road users from the road. Today at Nakasero, I met Mr. Aliko Dangote and we discussed the proposed East African regional refinery.

I informed him that from the very beginning, we have always opposed the export of raw materials without value addition. That is why Uganda delayed oil production because we insisted on first having a refinery. Without refining our oil, it would not make economic or strategic sense to simply export crude oil while others benefit from the finished products.

I, therefore, welcomed the idea of a bigger regional refinery because our objective is African integration and shared prosperity. We cannot continue operating as fragmented and weak markets. If East Africa works together, such projects become more viable and beneficial to our people.
Uganda is ready to support the regional refinery initiative while also continuing with the development of our own refinery in Hoima.

This flag pole is only half way complete. Our engineers were waiting for our crane to arrive from abroad to finish it. It's going to be the tallest in Eastern Africa! Rather than salaries and exorbitant allowances money should be spent in making our Fatherland Uganda great!
