Forest landscape restoration (FLR) is the ongoing process of regaining ecological functionality and enhancing human well-being across deforested or degraded forest landscapes.
FLR is more than just planting trees, it is restoring a whole landscape to meet present & future needs
Through this project, we trained 320 entrepreneurs (192 refugees & 128 members of host communities) in @KireheDistrict@CityofKigali@HuyeDistrict @GisagaraDistrict & @Nyamagabe in digital business skills. 19 of them were facilitated to get loans & 91 supported with seed funds.
Productive meeting between our ECOREF project & @DOTRwanda for the phasing out the "Youth-led Refugees & Host Communities Covid-19 Response & Resilience Initiatives". We reviewed the project's achievements & shared lessons learnt.
