Dr: we just need to get your fibromyalgia-like symptoms under control
Me: wait, does this mean I have fibromyalgia?
Dr: oh, no, I didn't mean that! I don't like to diagnose people!
Me: isn't that, like, your whole job?

@JoannaNoBanana That being as well as I am, with this body and brain, takes so much time and effort and money. I suppose I could take the "but you don't look sick" comments as acknowledgment of that labour, but nah, that's ableist and classist af.
@bennessb I am a mosquito magnet and Japanese encephalitis has just spread to our part of Australia so that's another thing that could kill me if I leave the house. Great for the anxiety, you know?
@UntoNuggan @Rainbow_Bodies Oh. OH. Here I was, reading the criteria, thinking damn, I have all these weird ones but not a high enough beighton score so must be something else ... meanwhile I go to kick a ball for my dog and feel like my entire leg is gonna fall off from the motion ...
One of my big struggles with undiagnosed ADHD was knowing I had a high capacity for achievement, but little evidence of success.
Teachers could see it too, with unhelpful notes about not reaching my potential.
It always felt like I should be doing more than I was able.
Think I need a new GP. At appointment yesterday, was asked why I wanted to investigate these CHEST PAINS I've been getting ('maybe it's "just anxiety?"') AAAAARGH #NEISvoid
@AskADHD#adhd help! I've been told to stop taking meds till I have some tests done (which could take a while...) What are some non-medicated ways you've found to Get Stuff Done? All suggestions welcome. Please and thank you.
