@chitowngirl1982 Transitional justice is mostly a pipedream at this point for many reasons. However, the STG shouldn’t be putting figures like Hamsho and Fadi saqr in front of people and have them be involved in reconstruction projects. It’s bad management and will make people more angry.
@NotWoofers The government mainly sees it from a legal perspective, while kurdish is a national language its not the official state language. Should every bill and legal document be in 3 languages? Personally I don’t care but thats how they see it.
@Vertaris21 Well we can’t know for sure as there’s no recent census and alot of areas are mixed. But the 10 provincial seats being split 60/40 is representative to the general demographics of the country or close to it
@TheSyObserver@IsraHazel The difference is that Idlib had a largely open turkish border and support for such initiatives. Suweida cant even secure its own food needs without Damascus, be real here
@NotWoofers He said they accepted the current banner for al-Hasakah, kurdish and arabic banners are for kurdish majority areas (which al-Hasakah city is not)
@CdricLabrousse The previous minister of agriculture did absolutely nothing in his time in the cabinet. There are factors outside of his control (no budget for the ministry and his family being threatened after what happened in July) but outside of his sect, no one cared about his position
@CdricLabrousse The army is reportedly crossing the Euphrates as well now, some members entered into the city. Situation is still fluid til this point.
