@DoloresGMorris That's really harsh, I think you do great work. In the bubble of academia these metrics are thrown around to judge people but they have little validity. Integrity and care for students is more difficult to quantify but far more important.
@BMcGrewvy Bukayo Saka probably won't be known in US but he's a brilliant footballer (plays for Arsenal Premier League leaders), pretty much universally respected, and open about his faith.
@Mila_Zonderling@ShaambaBaashdi@DrJavierDeLaHe1 That is true, but also applies on the other side too. For example a prior of e.g. 10-10 for resurrection is implicitly conditioning on naturalist metaphysics. That is one option but should be argued for rather than assumed.
@InspiringPhilos It's quite revealing that when you scratch the surface of modern atheism their worldviews are essentially pantheistic or animistic. Nothing new under the sun
@man_of_faults@miniapeur Many famous advisors are generous with opening doors. But there are a significant numbers who are glad to take but reluctant to give back - which can be lose-lose. Discerning the difference can be career defining, keep your ears open and ask right Qs before jumping to a decision.
