@BrianZahnd No. I think about the SBC (as one prime historical ex) which took until 1995(!) to issue an apology for its support of slavery - and yet never repented of its hermeneutics. I.e. they say they were wrong, but they fail to recognize why, thus they never reckon w the deeper issues.
