The #HomeOffice has finally granted refugee status to my vulnerable Somali client following a successful fresh claim application. Client is very pleased as we are @DLPublicLaw

Our client, a #Nigerian national, lawfully entered UK in 1970s. He was locked in #detention & twice given directions for removal (which we prevented). #homeoffice kept no record of his entry, but after a #Windrush app, HO finally accepted he'd been here lawfully from the start.

#homeoffice argued that our client (a vulnerable Ukrainian woman) did not fall within #refugee convention.

She couldn't give evidence at the hearing as she was so vulnerable.

Appeal allowed.
