Over the last couple years, I've been asked: why not launch @MoonwellDeFi on Ethereum mainnet? After all it has $100B TVL in DeFi, and @Base is relatively small in comparison. For context, most mainnet TVL is either ETH whales (people who were in the ICO) or large DeFi funds.

To be 100% clear there is no 76m token unlock on April 19 2025. Lets get that out of the way first and as we approach our anniversary, lets also take a moment to reflect and share what's on the horizon...

Over the past year, KARRAT has remained committed to development and supporting real world product. Industry skepticism can be tough and we know sentiment hasn’t always been where we’d like it to be but we've made significant strides. We've never lost sight of our long term vision and were not getting lost in the noise and shifting narratives. Airdrop and unlock misinformation
It has come to our attention that there is reporting of a 76m token unlock on April 19 on prominent token tracking sites which is causing some confusion among the community. This is incorrect and is a reminder that there is only one true source of information on unlocks, which are the Karrat Docs, available on the Karrat website. The reality is far less dramatic.

On April 22 the final claim for Hooligan NFT holders will commence, this will be open for 1 year and each Hooligan will be eligible for 1125 Karrat tokens each, totalling just shy of only 10m tokens, which become circulating as each holder claims. The first claim took place on April 22 2024 and this second and final one starts on April 22 2025.

There are also no Team & Advisor unlocks happening in April. They were dude to commence on May 22 2025 and are unlocked over 36 months.

Why we’re excited for what’s next
Our partners AMGI Studios, Arbitrum and their expansive networks are some of the best builders and season creatives in the space, not only in blockchain, but also in the gaming and entertainment spaces. We have a lot to look forward to and there are big developments on the Horizon.

- Console gaming breakthrough: We've been working with My Pet Hooligan to launch on major consoles. This is a huge step toward bringing Web3 native gaming and IP to mainstream audiences. This is a bridge to millions of players who can experience our ecosystem.

- Entertainment vehicles: Beyond gaming, we’re building a broader entertainment ecosystem with AMGI Studios. The only proven Web3 studio with real industry backing. In addition to developing the My Pet Hooligan feature film, AMGI is also creating innovative entertainment vehicles designed to expand the IP and bring mainstream audiences into the world of interactive, player owned experiences.

- Product first focus: We are focused on working with our partners to deliver tangible products, building tech and experiences that stand the test of time.

Do not underestimate our drive and ambitions for the space, we have done and will continue to do things that have meaningful impact and longevity and are a positive foot forward for the space.

A year old but just getting started
As we approach our one year mark, we’re not celebrating. We're building. This project is still young, but it’s gaining strength with every day. We’ve faced challenges, but we’re staying product first, laying the groundwork for something much bigger. And while not everything we’re building is public yet, it will be soon.
