Tell me why Steam has a field for your REAL NAME and then puts your REAL NAME front and center on your profile for everyone to see LMAO that's insane. PSA to check your Steam profiles ig. Make sure you're not doxxing yourself
Ive been rewatching Daredevil with my girl (her first time watching it) and every time Karen is on screen, I see Laufey and it gets me so hyped for the new game again
You know what would have been really fucking cool?
If Final Shape was the celebration and send off that Destiny 2 deserved.
And two years later, on June 9th 2026, they launched Destiny 3.
If you wish Marathon to fail then Sony can say players don't want Bungie games. If everyone goes to Marathon then Sony can say we never wanted Destiny. What I'm getting at is, this isn't a Marathon problem, this is a Management problem. Thats's your enemy, not other players.
@GernaderJake I just dove back into it last night after more than a year break. I think a long break was good bc I had so much fun. I may buy Year of Prophecy and stream both expansions. And of course imma log in June 9th 🚀✨️
@NVGAT@rockycvs3@MacticsG1 Weapon mods from before Beyond Light. When u killed an enemy, they could drop an orange orb that would have different effects depending on the mod. The effects were very cool/powerful. Shooting to blow it up and deal dmg in a large radius or picking it up to throw at enemies, etc
I wonder if Xur's inventory this week is intentional?
If you read the flavor texts of the exotics and catalysts featured this week (minus Hawkmoon as it's always here), the message is something like:
"Our tools were shoddy, but we made it work (Arbalest). Now, have joy, and sing one last time (Riskrunner). Despite the treachery, the game still stood (Queenbreaker's); and, though we were limited despite having so many great ideas (Borealis), we have hope that the game will live again (Heir Apparent)."
With a little imagination, the legendaries can be read in a similar way (though there is more emphasis on the actual weapon names):
"This is the Nature of the Beast: A Deadpan Delivery when we were eager (flavor text on Seventh Seraph Saw) to keep pushing when the game was doing well. Farewell, we were Duty Bound to be the First in and the Last out. Now, take your place among the company of heroes (Berenger's Memory flavor text) as we face the Abyssal Edge."
Just the message for easier reading:
"Our tools were shoddy, but we made it work. Now, have joy, and sing one last time. Despite the treachery, the game still stood; and, though we were limited despite having so many great ideas, we have hope that the game will live again. This, though, is the Nature of the Beast: A Deadpan Delivery when we were eager to keep pushing when the game was doing well. Farewell, we were Duty Bound to be the First in and the Last out. Now, take your place among the company of heroes as we face the Abyssal Edge."
This is 100% schizoposting, but it was a fun project to take my mind off the impending doom for like 15 minutes.

For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.
As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio.
Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to.
We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us.
From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.
We live in a world where you can go to jail for speaking out against Netanyahu or having a miscarriage, but if you’re a pedophile, the law will be broken to protect you.
