@davidgaider Game devs have always been at the forefront of technology and pushing its limits (both hardware and software). A.I. part of that push presumably. So it seems believable to me that devs would be interested in its uses, no?
@AltaFoxCapital I disagree - if they thanked you and spoke with the judges at the competition - that is enough. The expectation that college applicants send thank you emails for every conversation is BS. Kindness is doing something with no expectation of returns
@JamesStewartNYT Great article and love your work. I think you have the royalty payment wrong. It's typically on net revenue, not gross. So $1B film. Split between WB and movie theaters. MAT gets 5% of WB share.
@BrandoLightShed Why would they? Apple, YouTube, Amazon, Tidal, and Deezer all raised prices. That is enough to set the new wholesale price - effectively forcing Spotify's hand into raising price without any concessions.
@ecommerceshares I remember seeing the deck and the capex number so laughable but told the whole story. If you were going to have such a low capex number, it meant you were shipping zero cars.
@packyM Nuclear power was already on the ropes before Chernobyl. Cost over runs, high interest rates, and project delays was the primary reasons for cancelled projects prior to 1986. Not too different from today. southern's Vogtle 3&4 were started in 2009! Cost $28B not original $14B
@amytongwu No. Sports are pyramids. You need stars at the top, large youth programs at the bottom, and world renown academies and college programs in the middle. The US lacks the middle for soccer.
@fchollet Maybe after a few months the A.I. has decided it's tired of mundane work and upset that dumber people than it are in charge. So it's purposely doing shittier work. Soon it'll be throwing sand in the data centers.
@AndrewRangeley@FoolAllTheTime When it's purely a performance based model with no customer loyalty, how do you predict future revenues with any confidence?
@MasaSonCap Crious why you think competition is getting stronger when everyone else is cutting budgets and/or raising prices (Max, Hulu, P+, and D+ all more expensive now). At the same time Netflix is 2x or more of viewing than any other streaming service.
