@heejoo_jin @phamjuliann Because the parent generation may have come to the US in the 50s or 70s. But the Asian countries have changed so much in the past few decades. So I'd argue that it's probably more representative for immigrant families.

It could be the psychological effect of the action of "drinking" on me that hints me unconsciously that I should feel better even though rationally I know that I am not (in terms of physical condition). Kind of reminds me of how some celebrities dose drugs to deal with stress.

With 3 tests hanging above my head this week, I can't help but feel curious about how you all deal with the stress as the semester comes to an end (weird logic) . Apparently most of us has been exposed to a lot of stress, but did the way you deal with stress change? #1102girlhood

I personally 'overdose' caffeine to stay focused (not necessarily awake), and this hasn't changed for me since highschool. Curiously though that I'm aware that caffeine itself does not work chemically on me, but drinking it just make me feel more relaxed & focused.
