I help people de-un-secure the computers. Good watcher of Futbol. Better bartender. Shrug emoji lover ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Sec Awareness | InfoSec | Security+ (he/him).
@blackroomsec I ran bars for years before jumping into InfoSec. Between the tattoos, whiskey drinking and bitter sarcasm it sometimes feels like I never left. I can confirm though that when it comes to IR it’s tough to beat a bartenders day-to-day experience working with obnoxious drunk people
@beerbikesbacon@RayRedacted Ironically, color blindness is one of the few area where having an over-abundance of white dudes is an advantage https://t.co/inXBiagWUe
@blackroomsec My Alma Mater @CalPoly has a full student project dedicated to this https://t.co/3tscDSvfQ8 Maybe there’s some opportunities to collaborate with @CalPolyCCI@jamesjbakerjr
Evidently my years in the Food & Beverage biz made an impact on my 5yo daughter. She is currently pretending one of her princess dolls is an HVAC technician who is explaining to the other dolls how a bad seal on their fridge made their food go bad. #WaitUntilTheyGetTheBill
@shehackspurple Darknet is, of course, great. Equally good (and InfoSec focused), but not as often mentioned is @MaliciousLife which tells the detailed background stories of the history of computer security. For #BlueTeam it’s tough to beat @Detect_Pod and Blueprint from @SANSdefence & @SecHubb
@EanMeyer@strandjs As a former college debater and High School coach the logic & critical thinking are foundational to who I am. The current gamification (such as “spreading”) is unfortunate but even then the games are based in an intellectual challenging of the event itself which is apropos.
