@GaryHPhillips @NY647764 Also the Twins have been playing better, 1 game out of wildcard and 3.5 out of division lead in a terrible division/league. There's very little reason for them to sell early.
@Realjayamerica@snyyankees https://t.co/cibjLsGdpo you can check for yourself, there are literally only two people that has challenged more than Wells in MLB, two. That's not once in a blue moon.
From the Dept. of Weird and Unfortunate Injuries: Brewers reliever Trevor Megill fainted in a Spectrum store on Monday’s off day and landed on the concussion IL this morning. JB Bukauskas is taking his place.
3 rehab starts would mean he's on track to play in about 3 weeks, looking forward to it. Sevy is still a mess but if Sevy gets back to himself and Rodon comes back, this pitching staff is going to be great.
It doesn't necessarily reduce injuries but it does mean pitchers pitch less when fatigued and general thought is pitchers pitch worse when fatigued. Yankees have consistently had one of the best bullpens in the league over the years so they have stuck to it.
Yankees are probably the most protective team in the league with reliever workloads. Nobody works 3 days in a row, 3 in 4 necessitates several days off, Michael King doesn't work back to back days, etc.
Clay Holmes, Michael King & Wandy Peralta were unavailable last night due to recent workloads.
That means it's a good time to look at the #Yankees' bullpen in a long-term lens. As good as they've been so far, they can't afford to burn out before October.

All the replies that he should know. It sounds like there is still swelling and until that goes away, it's probably very hard to know when he can come back.
Aaron Boone was asked about Aaron Judge's return:
"I don't know. I totally get it. I'm almost in your same boat. Like I want to know. It is an unknown right now about when he'll be able to do things. I think once that happens, it'll happen quickly. We're not at that point yet."
@ViewsFrom314ft Not that bad. With all the injuries, there are only 5 teams in mlb with more wins. Bader coming back Friday, rodon rehab soon, just need to trade for a bat at deadline and this team will take off in the 2nd half
Huh, stress reaction to his shoulder blades, don't think we see that injury too often in baseball, relatively good outcome for a 60-day IL injury, all things considered.
Chris Sale went on IL a week ago for "inflammation in shoulder" and they are already moving him to 60 day IL, that's got to be a pretty serious injury to his shoulder. Fair to wonder if he pitches again this season.
I don't know why the Jays are doing this when he came out and said today that he stood by his comments and he's only sorry that they offended people...
Sevy was better the last 2 innings but he also threw very few fastballs. Only 3 fastballs in 21 pitches in the 5th and 2 of them were when behind 3-0 and 3-1 to Andrew Vaughn.
