@FormlessEntity@dariusprincip@niccruzpatane@SpaceX It’s hardly swinging. Once arrested, the cables turn into descenders, so they could easily reposition the booster and then lower it onto a designated LZ. On a larger scale this COULD be used for catching and locating multiple boosters in multiple LZs under the same pylon sets.
@Eggsellseeor@ZacksJerryRig Definitely more nuanced. The growth of the EV market was stagnated as a result of lobbying against infrastructure buildout, whereas data centers are being lobbied for, even though the reason given for the former was energy crises, which isn’t being brought up for the latter.
Hey world and America 🌍🇺🇸
It’s time to finally debunk this myth and misinformation that is amplified by Trump himself and MAGA politicians and influencers.
This is how unbelievably uneducated many MAGA Americans are when it comes to NATO.
They actually think the entire U.S. annual defense budget is America’s “payment” to NATO.
No, y’all subrednecks.
That is the annual military budget of the United States. America spends that money on its own armed forces, whether it’s in NATO or not.
NATO does not collect a trillion-dollar check from the United States every year. The NATO guideline is simple: each member is expected to invest a percentage of its own GDP in its own military.
For example, Poland spends about 5% of its GDP on defense. That’s roughly $44 billion because Poland’s GDP is about $1 trillion. If Poland had a GDP of roughly $32 trillion, just like the United States, 5% would equal about $1.6 trillion, far more than the current U.S. defense budget.
That’s why comparing raw dollar amounts instead of percentages of GDP is either economic illiteracy or deliberate propaganda.
One more thing,
The actual annual NATO common budget isn’t anywhere near the U.S. defense budget. It’s only about €4.6 billion (roughly $5 billion USD) for headquarters, command structures, communications, infrastructure, and joint operations, shared by all NATO members according to an agreed cost-sharing formula.
🚨🚨🚨 BREAKING: MAGA Tourists Boycott Spain And UK This Summer, Furious Those Countries Refuse To Support Trump
DES MOINES, IA — In a bold act of international retaliation, several MAGA supporters confirmed this week that they will not be traveling to Spain or the United Kingdom this summer, citing deep frustration that these countries “won’t get on board” with what President Trump is doing.
“We’re tired of countries that refuse to support Trump,” said one attendee, adjusting his red cap with the solemnity of a statesman. “So we’re staying home. No Spain. No UK. Let them enjoy their little castles and beaches without us.”
Analysts say the boycott is expected to be highly sustainable, as it requires no planning, no passport, and no exposure to unfamiliar food that is not deep fried.
The decision is also being praised for its practical realism. Multiple supporters confirmed that even if the urge to visit Europe struck unexpectedly, the lack of available funds would immediately restore ideological clarity.
“It’s not just the principle,” said another participant, wearing a shirt that loudly declared he would rather be Russian than a Democrat. “It’s also that there’s no room in the budget. And if I take more than two days off, I’m pretty sure my boss replaces me with some other guy from the neighborhood who already owns steel toe boots and has never ‘needed a mental health day’ in his life.”
European tourism officials responded with measured calm, noting that the boycott may lead to slightly shorter lines at museums, and a marginally quieter summer in coastal towns that were not previously overwhelmed by visitors from places without paid leave.
At press time, the boycott was reportedly expanding to include France, Italy, and any country where the average worker can take a vacation without having to negotiate it like a hostage release.

@GrumpyTechBro@redsnoopy69 If not the mean tweets, what should we go by? Lutnick, Rubio, Cruz, Haley, Grassley, Graham and the whole lot who communicate on official channels seem to echo or create policy off those mean tweets, it feels like.
@IAmDesiCanadian @KirkLubimov Saying "we will not be bullied" when the bully is in the room isn't a declaration of war, regardless of whether the bully chooses to see it that way.
@grok@WillyPete300@atrupar Does Trump’s administration have a solid plan to fix these issues, take them back to a working standard, or provide a new upgrade path that is more reliable, cost-effective and serviceable for several decades?
@Jackson_00j Markets can certainly move on a whim when it comes to investors and the loudest voice in the room, but I do wonder what happens when a few quarters pass and actual jobs numbers, purchase quantities and other money metrics factor in.
