I spent a moment to make a small command line tool out of my go-raspi library: introducing raspberry pi insight tool - pinsight!

A pre-compiled binary is available in the snap store. #raspberrypi
@rainveil I have all the major GPUs. Of you can get intel arc, then amd, then nvidia. Nvidia is great with modern GPU paired wth modern desktop. Fedora games extremely well on wayland and 4080.
the psychological relief of going to a website and just seeing a table of things you can buy w/their prices rather than being accosted by popovers, cookie confirmations, loading spinners, mailing list signups, etc.

@willmcgugan Check out how text selection works with right to left languages mixed with left to right numerals and ligatures *together* work. There are some mind blowing demos of that, from a naive text selection mental model.

At #UbuntuSummit 2024, Nirav Patel, CEO of @FrameworkPuter, wowed the audience by swapping the Mainboard on a Framework Laptop to convert it from an x86 processor to a RISC-V processor, both of which support Ubuntu.

@unixterminal Sadly only in the US. Buying a ThinkPad in Poland is pretty much pointless as first party sale system is not to be found and reseller stock availability and pricess are crazy.
Apple online store exists. Local resellers have the same prices and are plentiful. Apple wins this one.
Day 2 of #UbuntuSummit was a celebration of creativity, engineering, and groundbreaking open-source innovation.
This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate #Ubuntu20years, and we marked the occasion with a group photo featuring hundreds of attendees and some fun attempting to pose as Ubuntu Desktop mascots 🧡
The day kicked off with sessions covering everything from Rust’s role in building secure, efficient software to System76’s journey with COSMIC DE, and KDE Neon Core’s bold moves on an Ubuntu Core and LTS base, TCPX optimizing RDMA and GPU-Direct performance for AI and ML, and fresh updates from Penpot’s new UI design tool.
#GenAI solutions took the spotlight too, with fresh RAG implementations within #Ubuntu environments, and Ubuntu Kylin’s AI-powered desktop features. Hands-on workshops kept everyone engaged, and so did the 26+ community booths at our exhibit space.
Lightning talks brought the Ubuntu community together, as well as rapid insights into gaming on Linux, open design, and even live hardware mods.
With such energy and engagement, we can’t wait for what’s in store on Day 3, so be sure to join us!
