A team of operators helping entrepreneurs build great companies.

[adam bain @adambain]

The next decade will be the Inference Decade.

Open-weight models are reaching frontier-level performance at a fraction of the cost. The need for independent inference infrastructure will only grow.

That’s why we’re backing Baseten for the fourth time.

[dick costolo @dickc]

Happy to be investing for the fourth time here in Baseten. While it’s obviously always great to see a portfolio company doing well, it’s just as delightful to see four awesome human beings (Tuhin, Amir, Phil, and Pankaj) having tremendous success alongside their teammates.

[adam bain @adambain]

We @01Advisors are proud to back @fractile_ai’s Series B.

Inference is becoming the entire game (we learned thru our investment in Baseten) & the only path forward is to radically rethink the hardware AI models run on.

A new inference chip is needed. Fractile is building it.

[Ryan Daniels @ryanjdaniels]

📣 Update: we raised our $60m Series B from @Lux_Capital, @IndexVentures and @01Advisors, with participation from @sequoia, @eladgil and @BainCapVC .

When we came out of stealth 283 days ago, we had negotiated contracts worth $30m for our clients. As of last month, that number is over $1 billion.

We work with the most ambitious companies in the world, including @tryramp, @clay and @RogoAI. Today, we want you to hear from some of them directly.

Contracts are the rails of commerce. @crosbylegal is a hybrid AI law firm that gets them signed 80% faster. We’re announcing our Series B to keep scaling the dream law firm.

[Anurag Goel @anuraggoel]

We’ve raised $100M at a $1.5B valuation.

We built Render to give developers an intuitive path to reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Now, we are bringing that same philosophy to long-running, stateful infrastructure for AI apps & agents.

Today we're launching Ask Attio, and it's one of the biggest moments in our company's history.

When we founded Attio, we made a big bet that CRM needed to be rebuilt around unstructured data. Not structured fields or rigid schemas, but the messy reality of how GTM works.

Emails, calls, relationships, all the context that actually brings you the most clarity to make your decisions. We believed all of that should be inside and accessible in your CRM.

This wasn't a popular idea at the time. In fact, dozens of VCs we talked to told us we were wrong to even try. CRM was solved, so why bother?

But we kept building anyway. We spent three years building a data model and platform designed to hold the full context of how GTM teams actually operate and mold exactly to how your business works.

We call this Universal Context, and it's what makes Ask Attio possible.

Ask Attio is our new conversational AI layer that can reason over and act on everything in your CRM - emails, notes, calendars, product data, billing data, interactions, anything you've synced in.

You can understand what's happening across your entire business, search for anything, create and update records, trigger workflows and automations, all through conversation.

This is a fundamental shift in how CRM works. We used to input all our data, read everything, synthesize it, pull out what matters. Now, with Attio, your CRM does this for you at a massive scale. It pulls signal from the noise in ways that just weren't possible before, and acts on it with all that context.

Some of today's top GTM teams like @WisprFlow, @ListenLabs, @plainsupport, and @lightdash_devs are already using Ask Attio to unlock context across their entire business and act on it.

Ask Attio is live today. We can’t wait for you to try it: https://t.co/Yhn9aDYNK1

Huge congratulations to Baseten on their Series E! We’re excited to continue supporting Tuhin and the entire Baseten team as they lead the way to the future of inference 🚀

[Tuhin Srivastava @tuhinone]

Baseten’s day 0 bet was that inference was the technology that would enable the best user experiences AI could deliver–fast, smart, reliable, secure. And that those experiences would rely not only on a handful of giant general intelligence models, but millions of specialized models built by companies for their specific customers and use cases.

Whether you’re a doctor, developer, lawyer, mechanic, researcher, construction worker, marketer, etc, you’re accelerated by specialized tools worthy of your craft. To me, this is one of the most meaningful promises AI can deliver on.

We’re starting to see it now. Many of the main-character AI companies on the application layer are built on highly-specialized models for highly-specialized workflows–Abridge, Clay, Cursor, OpenEvidence, Hebbia, Mercor, Notion–these businesses are booming because customers love specialized tools.

There are probably hundreds of custom models in production today. Soon, there will be thousands and then millions. All enabled by a high-performing inference layer.

Inference has emerged as one of the hardest problems in modern AI systems. Delivering reliable, low-latency experiences requires deep coordination across distributed infrastructure, kernel-level performance, and software ergonomics—even world-class teams struggle to do this well. As a result, as consumers and developers, we’ve grown to accept sluggish performance, frequent downtime, and inconsistent quality across both application companies and model providers.

Meanwhile, the demands on inference are accelerating: AI adoption is trending towards ubiquity with reasoning models that are orders of magnitude more compute-intensive. This will only increase as more companies catch on to the virtues of owning their end-to-end IP rather than relying on black-box model APIs on shared infrastructure. Whether we can realize the impact of this generational shift will depend on our ability to serve these models reliably at scale.

We knew we could make the technology work, but the biggest delight of it all has been seeing what our customers do with it. The (many-model) future is bright.

Navan is one of the most amazing companies we at @01Advisors have ever worked with.

What stands out for me:
The company is defined by its incredible grit and determination (for example: imagine running a travel biz in Covid).

❤️ to this entire team on a special IPO day today!

[adam bain @adambain]

As AI increases the sophistication of email attacks, rule-based defenses just won't keep up. We’re excited to back @sublime_sec, giving defenders the tools to fight AI with AI. Programmable security will be the next generation of email security.

[Andrew Farah @andrewfarah]

Today we're announcing Routines. A new project from Density

Routines is designed to help older Americans live independently longer

It's a radar sensor + ai agent that anonymously measures:

> caregiver arrival (in home or facility)
> unexpected absence
> and real-time routine

[adam bain @adambain]

Congrats to our @01Advisors portfolio company @ProtectAICorp for making it official today!

Thank you @ianrswanson for the incredible ride & @edsim for the partnership!

@linear Huge congrats to you and the team @karrisaarinen!

[Linear @linear]

We raised a Series C at a $1.25B valuation, led by Accel.

Now back to building and continuing our mission to inspire and accelerate builders.

In this next stage, Linear is becoming the place where teams, AI, and agents build software together.

We've had great partners in building Model APIs, @Retool, @openrouter, and @poe_platform.

Today we’re launching DeepSeek R1, V3, Llama Scout and Maverick, with more rolling out soon—stay tuned.

You can get started here: https://t.co/kmXrXbO80F

[Baseten @baseten]

🚀 Our "technical" marketer might not be looped in, but today is our biggest launch day yet.

We're introducing two new products to serve the inference lifecycle: Model APIs and Training.

Model APIs are frontier models running on the Baseten Inference Stack, purpose-built for production. Baseten Training (Beta) provides infra and tooling without limitations for AI models destined for production.

Huge shoutout to the many partners and customers we've worked with as we built these two new products—more details below.

[adam bain @adambain]

Huge congrats to @ProtectAICorp on the exit to @PaloAltoNtwks!

@ianrswanson @DaryanD13, @badarahmed and the entire Protect team built an incredible product (&company!) to secure the most important technology of our time: AI.

This is a very smart play by Palo Alto Networks.

After the transaction closes, Protect and Palo Alto will deliver a comprehensive AI security platform that empowers organizations to build, deploy, and secure AI with confidence.

They’ll cover AI model scanning, posture management, AI red teaming and runtime security — along with security for AI agents.
