@David_J_Bier “I’ve observed the effects of immigration on the whole and have decided on that basis that I want to restrict it. Incidentally, this particular immigrant I do like.”
Wow so fake. So inconsistent. Fucking Cato retards
Every case I see boomers make for SSI is just so stupid it boggles the mind.
1. Why do they rarely save and invest? Could it be because they’re being taxed to pay for boomers social security?
2. How did people ever survive without SSI? I guess everyone just died at retirement before blessed SSI was invented.
3. Young people are fucking drowning. Entirely due to conditions created by the govt. the govt that boomers put in place and refuse to release from their arthritic grip.
@xwanyex@memeticsisyphus Matt has been on this topic for a few days, but just scroll the comments. Endless boomers who refuse to take on any of his arguments, won’t or can’t understand the most basic concepts and just screech with indignation. Surely the generation of narcissism. https://t.co/8npTxdgaEz
Nobody stopped you from investing in the stock market. If you never did that at any point in your life, that’s on you. You’re a grown adult. Take some responsibility. You have golf clubs as your profile pic and “real estate” in your handle. Hard for me to believe that you’re impoverished. If you admit that it’s a “shit system” then you should want nothing more than to fix it for the sake of your descendants. But instead it sounds like you want to get whatever you can out of it and leave your grandchildren holding the bag. That’s actually a despicable, selfish mentality, and it’s about time we start calling it what it is. I’m floating some ideas to fix the problem but you’re making it clear, as so many of your peers have made it clear, that you do not want it to be fixed if the solution will inconvenience you in any way at all. Meanwhile, your generation spent decades voting exclusively for politicians who would prop up the very “shit system” that you’re now complaining about. Again, where does personal responsibility factor in here? If you want young people to stop bitching and take ownership of their own lives and choices, when will you do the same?
@MagnusFratus@DJBCasa@MattWalshBlog Well you could have just said “tax the rich” then. Idk why you had to try to dress it up in all this verbiage. SSI has $28 trillion in unfunded liabilities and we’re gonna tax it out of the top 1%. That’s your proposal
@MagnusFratus@DJBCasa@MattWalshBlog Also, would those rich people then get to take all that money back out once they retire? They did pay into it after all.
@MagnusFratus@DJBCasa@MattWalshBlog This is not going to fix anything. Depending on where your cutoff is for obscenely rich, there are 100,000s collecting for every guy still paying in. You’d have to raise their SSI tax a lot. Top 1% income is about $750k. Hardly “very very obscenely rich”.
@DJBCasa@MattWalshBlog It’s not a stupid point at all. You act like the money you “paid in” is sitting there waiting for you to retire and start collecting. It is not. It’s been stolen. The only way for you to collect is for younger people to “pay in”. Otherwise you wouldn’t care if they did not.
What actually happened is for fifty years whites played the colorblind game while every minority group got to do nepotism, social welfare and scamming en masse. What youre complaining about from the right now is the rejection of that approach. You can cry about it all you want but it’s clear with whom the responsibility rests and it isn’t whites.
