Ref 1926 just passed with overwhelming support! This means DOT price is now directly linked to JAM’s success. Thank you to everyone in the community who showed up to support, and to @BillLaboon who voted and commented on behalf of @Web3foundation.

Important Notice: Moonwell on Moonbeam
@MoonbeamNetwork has announced that the Moonbeam network on @Polkadot will sunset on July 31, 2026.
If you use Moonwell on Moonbeam, action is needed. Assets and positions remaining onchain after this date may no longer be accessible.
To support an orderly wind-down, risk manager @anthiasxyz will recommend accelerated collateral factor reductions for Moonwell Moonbeam markets in this month’s parameter recommendations.
WELL holders on Moonbeam should transfer their tokens to @Base, @Optimism, or @Ethereum Mainnet before July 31.
To transfer WELL between networks, visit https://t.co/K7vmK7i1KL.

Polkadot outlook by @gavofyork live at the Web3 Summit in Berlin.
Web3 is not a progression of Web2.
These are two opposite approaches. Web2 solved social scale first, while Web3 solved economic functionality.
Polkadot Trinity is being built right now.
We do the hard work in the background, so the product developers don’t have to.
No logins. No install to start using. Comfortable and familiar interfaces. Coherence across devices. No crypto identifiers. No exposure to multiple selves. Mathematically guaranteed privacy and security.
Stay tuned.
Make a wish—May 26th to June 1st

🔹Happy birthday, Polkadot! May 26th marked six years since the network produced its genesis block and officially went live.
🔹peaq and Akash Network have launched decentralized elastic compute for machines running peaqOS via robotic•sh. This allows robots to access external GPU and CPU resources when onboard hardware reaches its limits. The capability was demonstrated with a Unitree humanoid autonomously purchasing compute to retrain warehouse models.
🔹The 12-month BLAST campaign has wrapped, with Nova Wallet’s Nova Shots onboarding roughly 48,000 users to the Polkadot ecosystem. Across eight Counter-Strike 2 tournaments on four continents, players generated around 2.86 million transactions on Hydration via the free-to-play prediction platform.
🔹apyUSD from Apyx is now live on Hydration. The yield-bearing stablecoin targets 13% APY through its STRC holdings, with returns that can be amplified through leveraged looping strategies in the Money Market.
🔹At the other end of the risk spectrum, Hydration has also introduced fixed-yield HOLLAR bonds, offering a 6.9% APR paid at maturity. The 90-day bonds carry no liquidation or impermanent loss risk, with principal and yield returned on a fixed redemption date. Until the cap fills, later buyers may see higher effective annualized returns as maturity approaches.
🔹Bifrost Referendum 515, now passed, initiates repayment of the vDOT liquidity loan issued under Polkadot Referendum 1538. The 1M DOT principal will be returned alongside 53,185.39 DOT in staking yield, representing a 5.318% return over the loan period.
🔹Oliver Tale Yazdi, tech lead at Parity, has built The Chamber, a collaborative staging area for drafting OpenGov proposals. Deployed on Polkadot Hub, it runs as a Rust contract via pallet-revive, with XCM handling submission to OpenGov. Reviewers iterate in a structured pre-onchain flow, reducing errors that lead to “please vote nay” referenda.
🔹OriginTrail co-founder and CTO Branimir Rakic appeared at the Cursor Meetup in Ljubljana on May 28th, where he presented context graphs as a key building block for shared memory and coordination among AI agents.

Pioneered by Polkadot: a new efficient data storage model for everyday Web3 applications
When it comes to storing and serving data, most Web3 apps still fall back on centralized Web2 servers. The missing piece has been a decentralized alternative that is actually suitable for everyday use. Bulletin Chain, pioneered by Polkadot, aims to solve this.
$DOT | A new version of @Polkadot (v2.2.1) is here, marking a key technical milestone that paves the way for digital identity and efficient storage.
This update isn't just code; it’s the foundation for a more agile, human-centric, and accessible network.
Key Highlights 💫
🔹 Bulletin Chain: A new system chain for ephemeral data storage. It acts as the backbone for moving identity data efficiently without bloating the main network.
🔹 Proof of Personhood (PoP): A major revolution for the People Chain. This enables flows to verify unique human users privately, moving away from invasive KYC or bots.
🔹 Elastic Scaling: The People Chain now supports block times of just 2 seconds. This ensures that registering your identity or interacting with social services is practically instantaneous.
🔹 Efficiency for Devs: Storage costs on Asset Hubs have been slashed by 10x. Deploying smart contracts on Polkadot is now as cost-competitive as Ethereum, but with Polkadot’s superior shared security.
Why does this matter? 🤔
🔹 For the User: The dawn of a Web3 with a human face. You can prove you are a unique human (Proof of Personhood) to access airdrops or voting, all while maintaining privacy and enjoying lightning-fast speeds.
🔹 For the Developer: Barriers to entry are gone. With 10x lower costs, faster block times, and a native identity layer, Polkadot is now the premier destination for building dApps that require verified human users at scale.
@Polkadot continues to build the infrastructure of the internet of the future -> #Web3
