The 5th Preventive Medicine WatchDogs heavily supported the 74th Annual 38th Parallel Symposium and hosted @USUhealthsci Medical Effects of Ionizing Radiation (MEIR) MTT course supporting @EighthArmyKorea @USForcesKorea and @USARPAC .

Soldiers gained valuable medical knowledge and maximized opportunities to learn about the ROK Army health system - SGT Ayala presented on the IDX Artificial Intelligence Microscope during the Operational Public Health lecture and was recognized by CSM Contreras, the MRC,P Command Sergeant Major for her outstanding contribution.

The unit enabled execution of the MEIR courses in Area III and Area IV. A total of 99 students (74 US/9 KATUSA /16 ROK) attended the courses. The unit had 12 WatchDogs successfully complete the MEIR course.

In the wake of the zombie outbreak spreading across @USAGDaegu @EighthArmyKorea and infecting @USForcesKorea, 168 MMB Powerhouse Battalion transformed into a bastion of hope, its fortified walls and Premier Posture as the @USArmy Medical Area Support unit of choice in the @USARPAC theater provided safety (medical treatment and evacuation support) for weary survivors. Soldiers from @19th_ESC and @65MedBde survived by running, sprinting, and dodging zombies during a 3-mile obstacle course run today on Camp Walker.

The community banded together, using their skills and resources to not only survive but to thrive amidst the chaos outside - and their laboratory services developed a vaccine in record time to stop the spread of World War Z!

*This is not real life - there is no zombie apocalypse.

Jim Peake - the 40th @ArmyMedicine Surgeon General, 6th Secretary of the @DeptVetAffairs , 2009 @usarmy Ranger Hall of Fame inductee and recipient of the @WestPoint_USMA Distinguished Graduate award as a representative from the Class of 1966 to the 74th Annual 38th Parallel Symposium at @usaghumphreys this week.

An absolute honor and privilege to welcome LTG (Ret.) Jim Peake to our event! A treasure trove of history, wisdom, and Army culture - his contributions to the @DoD_DHA @USUhealthsci @medcoe and the world of medicine cannot be overstated!

Land Navigation is a task necessary for soldiers at all levels. Powerhouse soldiers from @560thmcga and @629th_sentinels recently proved their #fighttonight readiness by putting their land nav skills to the test with both day and night iterations.

The DPAA recently announced that U.S. Army Pvt. 1st Class Arlie P. Barrett, 19, of Bluff City, #Tennessee, killed during the #KoreanWar, was #accounted for on June 7, 2024.

PFC Barrett, a member of Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, went missing in action on Aug. 10, 1950, during combat with North Korean forces near the Naktong River, South Korea. Due to heavy fighting, his body could not be recovered at that time.
