We're so proud that our work with the people of Killarney over the past year is now rewarded with the knowledge that together we have saved over 1 MILLION single-use cups from landfill!😅
As Europe’s first town to eliminate single-use cups, Killarney is setting a powerful example of how communities can come together to create real change. Thanks to the dedication of local businesses and residents, we’re taking major strides toward a more sustainable future 🌍
This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of the Killarney community. Your commitment to reducing waste and protecting our environment is making a lasting impact! Let’s continue to lead by example and inspire others to follow in Killarney’s footsteps. Together, we’re proving that when a community unites for a cause, we can make a difference that echoes far beyond our town ♻️
I really think that Killarney deserves much more credit for their move to move away from single use coffee cups.
Council leaders from every town and city should be asking the scheme’s organisers for advice.
