Water, infrastructure, opportunity. Let's check the receipts on what your party actually delivered to South Texas since 2024.
Water: Mexico still hasn't delivered on the 2025 treaty agreement, McAllen is spending $185 million of its own money on desalination because Washington couldn't produce a solution, and the Valley's reservoirs remain well below historical levels. Two years, full Republican control of the House, Senate, and White House. Zero acre-feet.
Infrastructure and opportunity: your party declined to renew USMCA, so every customs broker, produce importer, and logistics firm in the Valley now plans around annual reviews instead of a stable trade agreement. Pharr bridge trade is down. Exports are down. The Dallas Fed says tighter immigration policy is suppressing cross-border trade and travel, and Valley construction firms say the raids are sweeping up legal visa holders and stalling projects. That's not opportunity, that's a headwind your party manufactured.
And the megabill your endorsers passed cut billions from Medicaid in a region where more than a quarter of adults are uninsured, while the ACA subsidies lapsed on top of it. The Valley's largest free health clinic was canceled for the first time in 26 years because of federal cuts.
You also got here because Republicans redrew this district mid-decade to turn a seat they lost twice into one Trump would've carried by 10. So spare us the 'fighter South Texas deserves.' The only thing Republicans have delivered is a canceled clinic, a shakier bridge, and the same dry riverbed.
@Socdem_Michael I mean it's that and the man is very low energy...he's a low-T kinda guy you know what I mean? He oozes shitty Jeb Bush energy but he's much much uglier and a terrible dresser, as the President will attest to.
